Nollywood actor and director, Prince Eke has posed a question to the federal government regarding its decision to pay huge sum of money for the 3.92 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine the country is expecting.
Nigeria expects to take delivery of 3.92 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine today, March 2, 2021. The dispatch is part of an overall 16 million doses planned to be delivered to the country in batches over the next months by the COVAX facility.
Speaking on the planned payment and receipt of the vaccine, Prince Eke has asked the government to consider sharing the money to the citizens instead.
According to him, it should be used to cure hunger first.
Taking to the Insta-story section of his Instagram page, the film star wrote;
”Why can’t Nigerian government use this money for this 3.92 million doses of covid 19 vaccine and share to the people. Cure hunger first”
