A Ugandan singer, Cindu Sanyu has lashed out at Nigerian Singer, Omah Lay, calling him an idiot for posting about his successful concert in the country, while she and her colleagues are ‘starving’ and being ignored.
Recall that Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems were on Sunday, arrested by the Uganda Police and remanded in prisons for flouting COVID-19 guidelines in the East African country.
Court ordered that they be remanded till Wednesday, December 16, 2020 after earlier plans to release them on bail was suspended following the sanction of their case file by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Speaking on the matter, Sanyu, complained that while she and her fellow Ugandan musicians have obeyed the strict COVID-19 rules, they are ignored the most and yet to receive help since President Yoweri Museveni banned all music concerts, and closed down bars.
According to her, some of her colleagues are starving, and broke because of the strict lockdown.
The singer then insulted Omah Lay for posting about his successful concert in Uganda. he further said that it’s not right that the concert was held during the lockdown while Ugandan artists are starving.
