Buhari says he’ll adhere to measures put in place to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease.
According to presidency, President Muhammadu Buhari will observe the Eid El-Kabir prayers with his family at the Villa in Abuja, just as he did during the Eid El-Fitr a little over two months ago. This declaration was made in observance of safety measures against the spread of coronavirus.
The president usually flies to his hometown, Daura in Katsina State to celebrate the annual religious event for Muslim faithfuls, with prayers observed in large crowds that gather at the central mosque.
However, a statement by the presidency noted that the president will remain in Abuja in line with the advisories of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).
