Lady Gaga made a major fashion statement at Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday, performing the National Anthem in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture outfit comprised of a fitted navy jacket, voluminous red skirt and huge gold dove brooch to symbolize peace.
But many on social media couldn’t help but compare her dramatic look to those worn by Effie Trinket in the “Hunger Games” movies — and her bird brooch to a mockingjay pin.
“Lady Gaga said : “Capitol? Say no more fam” And pulled out her hunger games mood board,” one person tweeted, while another wrote, “congrats to Lady Gaga’s dress on its success in the hunger games.”
Tweeted a third, “Lady Gaga is serving some Effie Trinket at the Capitol.”

Jennifer Lopez also performed at the inauguration, belting out “This Land Is Your Land” in an all-white Chanel outfit that honored the suffragette movement.
Demi Lovato, John Legend and more are set to perform at upcoming events on Wednesday.
