Arsenal defeated fellow Premier League rivals Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium with Brendan Rodgers making 11 changes to his side, while Chelsea thump Championship side Barnsley 6-0 with Kai Havertz scoring a hat-trick, and Fulham drill deep to secure a 2-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday at Craven Cottage.
The three London clubs now joined West Ham who defeated Hull City 5-1 on Tuesday evening. A trip to Wembley is now a step closer. As has been the case with the Carabao Cup this season, the draw for the fourth-round ties took place last week after the second-round were concluded, inferring that the opposing teams were already known before the third-round were executed.
Here is the full draw of the fourth-round:
Burnley vs Manchester City/AFC Bournemouth
Leyton Orient/Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea
Newport County vs Newcastle United
Brentford vs Fulham
Everton vs West Ham
Lincoln City/Liverpool vs Arsenal
Bristol City/Aston Villa vs Stoke City
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester United
This evening, Championship side Bristol City will face off with Aston Villa, Lincoln City will face Champions Liverpool and Manchester City will welcome Bournemouth, which means by the end of today, the line up for the fourth round of fixtures will be completed.
Due to positive Corona virus cases from the Orient camp, the Tottenham’s and Leyton Orient game was postponed last Tuesday and new date yet to be announced.
The fourth-round of games will be played during the week starting September 28.
