All the 50 refugees from the Moria camp in Greece that Norway has agreed to accept have now been selected, the newspaper Vårt Land writes.
The refugees will come to Norway in January and February next year, Assistant Communications Director Håkon Fenstad at the UDI informed Vårt Land.
Last week, the newspaper VG wrote that the first 30 refugees had been selected.
It is now clear that all the 50 refugees Norway will take in from the Moria camp on the Greek island of Lesvos have been selected.
“These will be both large and small Syrian families. We are talking about parents with children, so no grandparents are included, for example,” Fenstad said.
Conditions
The refugees must be able to document or prove that they are Syrian citizens.
They must also be part of a family with underage children.
On September 9, the UDI was instructed to start work on relocating refugees from Greece to Norway.
The effort started the same day that a great fire broke out on Lesvos.
